Artist & Craftsman
In 2015 after 20 years in the same career, I was getting burnt out as an employee. I was feeling trapped in an endless loop of checking off to-do lists. I could foresee premature mental decline and looming bitterness if I stayed on this path. In self pity, I was no longer dinking like a gentleman, I was using substances as an escape and had decisions to make that were shrouded in fear of the unknown.
I was willing. I began the process of a transformative journey anchored in hope. As I sifted through distractions, I was met with the creative act, a way of being. I started making a chair in my free time and ten years later with hope and a prayer, it's turned from just enough confidence to persist, to certainty in the direction It's taking me.
